How do I save my screen layouts when Upgrading?

Hi All, 
 
 I've wondered this for a while now. Every time I upgrade my ION to a new software version it wipes out my window and PSD column layouts. Is there a way to restore or recall these settings after an upgrade?

you store a snapshot in a showfile. you should also do this even when not upgrading. the console is usually so nice not to mangle your layout too much, but you're relying on something that's not stored at all. that's why snapshots exist.
