Randomizing effects

In a step effect is it possible to randomize more than the sequence of steps?  I would like to create a random chase that randomizes in/dwell/out times between 5 and 15 seconds each and maximum intensity between 30 and 50 percent.

  • Greg, you can apply a 'random rate" attribute to the effect.  It's under the attributes button to the right of the step table - be sure to apply the rate range (it isn't done in seconds, its applied from 0 - 2000.)  The default rate is 100% - which runs the effect using stored timing.  A value below 100 slows the "real time" down, and above 100 speeds it up.   So, when you apply the random rate, a range of "randomness" is needed.

We don't currently provide a random setting for the actual values for the step.
