mart move dmx

I am useing an apollo smartmove dmx with an eos and am having some problems.  When I patch it useing the personnality from the library it only gives me 2 encoders.  One says Gobo Mode 2 and the other says Effect/Speed.  The Gobo Mode 2 encoder toggels on and off and doesn't seem to do anything else.  The mode button on the second encoder changes nothing.    There is nothing in the users manual from Apollo called Gobo Mode 2.  Is there something I am missing or am I just not understanding what the personnality is telling me.

  • Hi William,

I had the same problem about a year ago.  Matt at Tech Support sent me the instructions below.  I really can't imagine anyone figuring this out on their own.  I don't know why, but a lot of the features are on the command line, not encoders.  I would prefer everything on the wheels, but...

and in case you don't know, when entering NP's on the command line, don't use @ [at].

    Enjoy, B

    Rotating Mode

Set GoboMode to Rotate (0) and GoboMode2 to "off" (0)

          Gobo controls speed and rotation

    Indexing Mode

Set GoboMode to Index (1-255) and GoboMode2 to "off" (0)

GoboMode controls speed of movement (but is NOT on an encoder,

so the command line must be used to set it)

          Gobo controls index

    Smart Move Mode

          Set GoboMode2 to "on" (1-255)

GoboMode controls speed or delay for effect (but is NOT on an encoder,

so the command line must be used to set it)

Gobo controls which pre-programmed effect is active
