BUG: cue part curves do not affect pixel map NIPs

I have been trying to apply easement curves to cue parts to smooth the focus animation of a circle gradient ball of light across a pixel map. After much frustration I applied the exact same technique to a patched moving light fixture in the real world and it works as expected. I don't know if this is an actual "bug" or if its because pixel map content is applied after the fader pipeline of the desk as explained in other support videos, but it would be great not to have to use a dummy sACN show control/fader channel workaround and to program this type of animation on pixel maps the same as everything else.
