Building effects for a Dataflash AF1000

I have used Dataflash units on a Strand 530 and have copied out the effect information (see below), now I would like to recreate the same effects on an Eos but can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help please?

  • Without sitting down with a strand first to make your fx i can only really suggest:

Make a preset for each FX step (you could do this in blind and use the same % from your stand showfile) but it would be better to do it live.

When you're happy with each step looking right, make an absolute effect for each effect and fill it with the presets that you made. So your effect has preset 1, 2 and 3 instead of step 1, 2 and 3.

The absolute effects can then run fwd and change the duration/cycle to 1.

When i have 5 mins, i'll try setting up the strand, eos and data flash and give it a whirl.

  • ^^^ I'd go with what crispy suggests.  You could do it with Step effects, but from what I can gather, you would have to make a couple for each existing effect to get the different levels for each parameter

Absolute effects sound like a good way to go

    Cheers
