We are trying to get some position data into an EOS in order to have lights track a person. Being an MA person, I would do this on an MA using PSN or with an ArtNet HTP merge, but it does not seem like the EOS will accept much incoming protocols, not even ArtNet or sACN. Have I overlooked something?
Is OSC the only way to have an EOS accept incoming data? (Not planning to use MIDI...)
Many of us use LightStrike (https://www.dsmurfin.co.uk/lightstrike) for automation tracking.
I made it work using Notch to convert ArtNet to OSC. But we struggle to control the lamp from the desk while having OSC position input. Maybe LightStrike is a better option.
Yes, Notch and TD both work, but LightStrike is purpose built for this.
