Building a new FX to pan around the stage using the FX editor is proving harder than it should be.
Is there a way I can build a new FX by pointing my beam to various points on stage and recording them in a new FX?

you want to use an absolute effect for that. each corner of your shape needs to be recorded as a focus palette. those focus palettes will then be the levels fpr the actions in the absolute effect.

Thank you
Yep, I made 4 FP, 1 thru 4 and tested them. They are working. The in FX editor making an Absolute FX with four steps each with a FP in the level column. But applying it in live -it doesn't work.
in Live you type Chan 1 Effect 2 Enter
the effect only works for those channels that you have recorded with their positions into the focus palettes
That's what I am doing. In my case "Chan 108 effect 2" in Live.
Chan 108 is the one I put the FP's on. I'm doing something wrong somewwere
My Bad! I needed to put Pan Tilt into Parameters box. Works fine. Thank you
it should work without any parameters in the parameters box. in the screenshot above you had Z Focus in there which is the reason why it didn't work.
Oh Lordy. I must have plonked it in there somehow I guess. All working now with empty parameters box. Thanks
