Channel weirdness

We had some odd goings on during the running of our show on the EOS on Saturday night.

The show houselights channel is 1000 and just before the show began the lx op noticed  that the houselight channel was at full when it is recorded into the cue @ 50%. On the tombstone channel display channel 1000 showed it at FL and the value was green (as if the value had gone down!!)

The operator reloaded the cue and made sure that there were no submasters active containing houselights.

In the BLIND cue spreadsheet cue 1 showed channel 1000 @ 50% then it goes out in cue 2 only coming up again in cue 87. However when you go back into live this wasn’t what was outputting. Channel 1000 seemed to only want to stay at full.  Nothing had been manually captured and the op just to be sure did a SNEAK enter.

Currently the RPU is running as a master and the EOS is a backup.

What had to be done in the end was the channel was manually wheeled out to 0% then to keep them out they were parked at 0. Not ideal but had to be done to get out show going. At the interval the EOS & RPU were both rebooted and this seemed to solve the issue.

We wondered whether it was a sync error or something between the EOS & RPU, both arguing over who had control of that channel.

Any ideas?
