Scroller data...

Maybe this is simple and I just am looking too hard to find the answer but...

Is there a way to see what a scroller is at in a cue?  I know that by going into spreadsheet I can see the intensity value of the fixture, but how do I know what value the scroller is sitting in?

  • In 1.4.5, the default live view is called tombstone/summary.  This shows just the intensity values, with FCB categories not displayed.  In this view, you can expand to show the FCB categories by pressing [params] and focus, color or beam (on Eos) or [data] and the encoder page buttons (on Ion).  If you press format, this takes you to a table view.... again, all four categories will be shown in a summary.  you can use the same keys to expand the category data to show individual parameters.  Blind spreadsheet defaults to showing just intensity, but using the same keys above, you can include any NP data.

    Note that in 1.5, we will default to the table view, with all parameters displayed.   That way, if you don't know the keystrokes to contract the displays, you at least can see all of the data when you get started.

     Will the user have the option as to which their console defaults to in 1.5? I, and many of the designers I work with prefer the tombstone display.

    Mark, the expanded table view will be displayed on a new show file.   Once you have set the tombstone view, that view will be maintained when devices are powered up.   No, we aren't going to make this a user default in setup.  Its very easy to change live.    We are trying to keep the user defaults to a manageable number of options.
