Nomad on mac unable to save to persistent storage

Same issue, and I have been having it for a while it's just now bothering me enough to look.

3.1.1 build 120

Hi johnnyd , this can happen when resources such as Magic Sheet items are missing / removed.  We might be able to determine what is missing or where the issue lies if we have a look at your logs.

Would you mind saving logs and sending them our way?  Retrieving or Saving Log Files from Eos Family Consoles - Electronic Theatre Controls Inc

My memory is not always the best but I believe this has been happening for the entire time I have had an M1 Mac, across all show files.

It looks like you can save to one of your "ShowArchive" folders, but not the other.  

At least once or twice, the issue seemed to occur soon after you saved in a Dropbox folder.  So I'm guessing something about cloud storage is not playing along nicely.

I will keep an eye out for that and see if it feels related but my sense is that it isn't. I save to dropbox occasionally for backup / archive purposes but typically as I am working I am saving locally.

Also this might be related: I can see Show File Archive when I go into Save As as a top level directory as I would expect to (at the same level as the main drive and removable storage). If I click on that though it immediately disappears without letting me get inside of it. When I say I can save as to the show file archive I have to go through the entire folder structure (into users, into my user, into documents, etc) and that works.

Your ShowArchive path appears to be pointing to your Dropbox Sync folder, not to /Users/johnd/Documents/... which is where you saved that file in the video.

Please try reverting the ShowArchive path back to default in the shell, and see if that clears it up.

Oh! Resetting fixed it! Thank you. It looks like it wasn't pointing to my dropbox but it did have the wrong username in the filepath. Somehow for some reason it was set to Users/johndigiorgio/... instead of Users/johnd/...

It was subtle enough that I didn't notice. the other two archives were correct so I don't know what happened there. I think I may have changed my user name on the computer at some point.
