Ion Client Dongle

Yes you should get a client dongle when you register your console.

I was told this was the case by my local rep. we paid almost $500 for the client dongle and was told it would be sent when we registered. was sent a usb stick (which i expected from reading the forums) but still missing that $500 dongle...

The client dongle is no longer a free item with an Ion purchase. 

The "Eos Client Software Kit" is now an item needing to be purchased.

Note as well that I believe it's not really a "Software Kit"  as the software is the existing Off-Line Editor, that the dongle see's and then provides an interface as a Client to the console over a Net2/3 connection

Oh I know,  we did purchased the "Eos Client Software Kit" with the Ion but were told by the local rep that it would be sent once the Ion was registered. I am wondering if this is how its supposed to be or if it should have been there in the box with the Ion?

Is there a possibility the 'USB stick' sent to you is actually your client dongle?

My dongle is only 1.5", purple, but it does have a label: EOS/ION Client 2704(XXXXX).

Hopefully that is your client dongle.

The Eos Family Client Software Kit is not packed with the Ion together.

It is packaged seperately in a small cardboard box, and if you ordered

the Ion and Client kit together, it should be delivered together.

When you register your Ion with ETC, it is only putting your contact details in the

ETC Warranty Data bank, and currently will signal for a Registration Thank-you Gift

to be sent to you. This process has nothing to do with sending out ordered client kits.

You will need to contact the dealer that sold you the kit, and ask them for it.
