Updating ETC Element Software to EOS Version 3

Question

Hi, I have recently been working with an original Element 1 console and need to update it to the most recent software that I can. I was wondering: 
 1. How do I update the console? 
 2. Can I update the console all the way up to the most recent release of ETC Eos Software? 
 Any help would be much appreciated!

Check the back of your Element console. What display connectors do you have? there are always three, but sometimes it's DVI and VGA, and sometimes it's DVI and DisplayPort. 
 If you have DisplayPort that means you have a Win7 console and can go to 3.0.2, if there is VGA you have a WinXP console and can go to 2.9.2.
