Why do manual intensities snap to background when I run an unrelated Phantom Cuelist?

I have some lights manually set at 60% and am running multiple cuelists. The lights are not recorded in any of said cuelists. If I trigger a cuelist containg some unrelated non-dims, and nothing else, my manually set lights snap to their background intensity values. This is a very irritating and irrational behaviour. Is this a bug or feature, and why would something like this be needed?

The cue object in MS triggers a GoToCue, which is what's causing the problem. If you were sitting in an active cue list and simply hit Go you wouldn't see this behavior. I'm not saying the current behavior…

Trigger via a cue element in a magic sheet. But should the way I trigger a cue matter?

I'm not saying the current behavior is optimal for every situation, but that's the explanation why it happens.

I think I had this behaviour last spring while pressing a go button as well. I think. Have to double check. I think I posted on fb but got no answers.
