Should cutting into a mark cue do the marks secretly?

This feels like something that is so obvious I'm sure it's been discussed endlessly, but:

if you cut (shift-go) into a mark cue, often in 0 time, you see lights mark because they move as they're snapping out.

Should this action actually 'cheat' and do the intensity fade-outs in 0 time then a fraction of a second later do the marks in zero time, so you don't see the lights move?

It's not strictly logical, but it would often be neater, and does follow some of the goto-cue out of sequence logic where lights fade out then move.

I can already hear an anti-argument that people like knowing which lights are moving. So maybe it's a set-up option...?

Rob.
