I'm bundling a RGB tape into a clear plastic ball and want it to pulse Red. I made a step based FX which works fine except I have to make sure the fixture is in red 1st.
But my knowledge of FX is very limited. Is there smarter way to do this?

I'd use an Absolute Effect and insert a step referencing a Color Palette.
To do this simply enter [ColorPalette] [#] when editing the level of the step. This works with all Palette-types and Presets.
