SOS! Ion problems

Hi new user to the forums here but have had our ION for ~1 year.  The issue at hand is we just did the 1.4.5 update and all went fine.  Now today went to boot it up to control the DL3 rental we just got in and need working in ~3 days @$1000 a week and the ION wont display anything via dual DVI or VGA.  Swapped monitors to known working ones and tested ION ones on computers and all work fine.  The ION also now makes 3 audible beeps when turning on and nothing else.  Please help!  Will be calling tech support first thing but right now I have a board op I am paying and a rental sucking me dry with no console.  

 

Any Ideas??

  • Give ETC tech support a call. They're open 24/7 and should be able to help you out.

    1. Try disconnecting any and all external usb devices and wings and then try to boot.
    2. If that doesn't work and you absolutely need it tonight, take the above advice and give a call to the pager.  Possibly something got shaken loose inside the desk and if you've got #1 and #2 phillips screwdrivers, we might be able to get you back up and running.

  • Hey all thanks so much for the heads up did not realize that there was 24/7 help available.  Phillip @ ETC helped me out and was very friendly.  Turns out that the RAM can become unseated and all it took was opening it up and re-seating the RAM.  Cheers everyone!
