Update Sub

Modifying channel levels LIVE in an existing submaster, when that submaster is up, produces a "channel list is empty" error message. v1.4.5

after modifying the channel level using [UPDATE][SUB][xx][ENTER]

Is this expected behaviour ?

(on the part of the console, not the operator)

  • Hey David.  How's life in the world's biggest sand box??  Yes, this is intended behavior.  Update, by itself, only updates manual overrides to cues (or, if there is only one cue on stage, any new manual values).   To update manual overrides to sub contributions, you can use [Update] [Sub] [Enter] - don't need to specify the sub value.

    Hope that helps!

  • Yeah, one or two too many additional keys to press.  If I press [UPDATE] then the button for the submaster I want to modify, that should be it, end of story.  I understand having to specify which cue since the cue you want to update may not be loaded at that time.

  • [Update] [Sub Bump] to update a specific submaster is in the next software release.  [Update] [Sub] [Enter] works to update all modified submasters.

The only time it is necessary to specify a cue to update is:

if you are updating a non-active cue or

If you have multiple cues on stage and you only want to update one of them.

    Hope that helps.
