Merging Patch

you're in the new file, going to File>Merge, select the showfile that has the patch, select Patch and then click OK?

Yep. Correct. Trying to merge the patch from my current showfile. Again, this is at home - not on ELE2 at theatre

just making sure the direction is correct. you have the target file open and you point the merge dialogue to the source file

Yes, correct. My new showfile is open. I go to file/merge and select a showfile with the current patch. The progress window writes severl lines then we see  a blue window: "EOS crashed" or similar 

in that case you should pull logfiles and upload them to this post (Reply>Insert>Image/video/file)

We are having a look at the logs, but speculation is that this crash in v3.0.0 is fixed in v3.0.1 and higher.  

Yep. Looks like it. I got a bit behind on updates. Just installed 3.0.2.6 and merge/imports working fine now. Thank you. Its on a SUB drive to uodate ELE2 whn current show finishes.

Glad to hear it's working for you in v3.0.2.  We've confirmed that this crash was indeed caused by that bug that is fixed in v3.0.1 and higher.
