simple color chase

I have watched all the videos as you recommend.  They have not helped me with creating this specific color chase.
I have written the Effect as you describe, and I do not get the output that I am looking for.  
This is not uncommon for me.
Should I include any other options to make this simple color chase function?  Parameters?  Attributes?

describe the difference of what you're getting and what you're expecting. "not what i'm looking for" doesn't actually help...

I have a row of 10 lights.  All of the lights are on, in a yellowish color, with 2 of the 10 instruments in white, and 2 of the instruments in lavender.  These 4 instruments are chasing from right to left.

i'm looking for all 10 instruments to be red,  then all to be blue, then all to be green, then all to be amber, and repeat.  

in the effect set Grouping = 1, this will make all channel change at the same time

The colors are incorrect, but at least the effect is what I want.   I'll look up more about Grouping.   Thanksomuch.
