Nomad Puck Connection Issues

Hello!

I am running a console system with an Ion xe as the master, and two Nomad Pucks as clients for designers to use during tech. Everything is on the same User, but the pucks will periodically disconnect and reconnect from the master on their own. All consoles have been fully updated and seem to communicate well otherwise.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know of a potential solution?

All DMX is run to a Net3 Gateway. A Cat6 is going from the gateway to a 5 Port network switch in the booth. The Ion xe, the 2 pucks, and the gateway are all sharing the same network switch.

It's a fairly minimal setup. I hope this information helps!

How far are the Pucks from the network switch? What make/model of switch is it, and does it have any sort of "management features" to it? Do the Pucks disconnect at the same time, or at different times? If you open Tab99 Diagnostics (Browser > Setup > Diagnostics) what is displayed on the Ion XE when this happens?

The pucks are only about 15ft from the switch. Pucks would disconnect individually, and at random.

The original switch was a tp-link, model: TL-SG105. No management features that I know of. We swapped the switch out for a Netgear Prosafe, model: GS105v5. Since that change, we no longer seem to have issues. However this is still interesting to me, as the original switch was brand new, and virtually the same as it's replacement.

Based on their website: TL-SG105 | 5-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Desktop Switch | TP-Link this switch does have Qos and IGMP Snooping functions, which are a form of management (though it goes on to claim that it is unmanaged).
