Snapshots don't store Preview mode for Live tab

same problem for me with V3.1.2 on ION XE, i have to re enter preview pending each time i recall my psd snapshot. And more weird: on my computer, with the same show, on the same snapshot configuration, eos remembers preview. Did you fix ueli's  (minor but irritating) problem, and how?

The issue only seemed to happen for me when using Ueli's show.  I re-recorded the preset with  preview pending and it stuck and re-usable for me from that point forward.

you mean that if i record the same snapshot from my computer and bring it to the ion, the snapshot will memorize preview?  why do you talk about preset?

my apologies- I meant Snapshot.
On the console I ran the Snapshot, set the Preview Pending on.  Then I recorded the snapshot again and saved the show.

i did so 10 times at least, with same result: preview disappearing

but as i say: at home, with eos on pc, i'm unable to reproduce it, preview is properly recorded on snapshot. Tomorrow i'll try to bring this snapshot on the ion to see if preview is still on.

so what was the problem in ueli's show?

we never figured it out, it's unsolved so far. as a workaround i fire my snapshot with a macro. that macro first recalls the snapshot and as a second step activates Preview Pending.

thanks, will keep in mind this solution. i guess it comes more from the device than from the show: same show running, my Master device (ion xe too) gets a snapshot with preview working fine, my on pc gets snapshots working fine, only my backup' s snapshots don't save preview.  

loading the home made snapshot in the ion xe works perfectly, remembering preview pending.

last reply: same device, same show, same way of recording snapshots, this afternoon it doesn't loose  previews.

same thing happens to me again in a GIO: snapshots don't record preview. (v3.1.5). Is this issue still unsolved?

Hello passa  this remains unresolved.  Would you please share a showfile with us where this is happening, and specify which Snapshot should have Preview Pending but does not?  You can attach it here or send it to eos @ etcconnect.com along with reference to this Forum post.

Even better if you are able to recreate it from scratch and tell us the steps, but from reading it looks as though no one has found out how to reliably do that yet.

i'll send it today, since my post i turned them in macros, as suggested by uerllig, which works perfect. So hope i have time to find an load older show..

Just sent you it by mail. Strange thing i've already had last time: unable to reproduce it at home on my pc, i absolutely can record snapshots with previews, it never fails.

when trying to reproduce this a while ago it looked like after restart the snapshot reproduced the Preview state, but after a while stopped working. this might be red herring. and even if that's a factor i can't say if it stops working after 15 minutes or after 2 hours. sorry.

I'll checkit tomorrow, but in my file,i'm pretty sure  previews don't appear, even after restarts, even not for 5mn
