ION console with 2 outputs DMX linked with Gadget II to have more DMX outputs possible?

Question

I will work with a ION 2048 with only 2 physical outputs DMX. Il would like to have more outputs. 
 I know that the Gadget can be linked via USB with an ELEMENT and the outputs work well, but the DMX outputs on the ELEMENT weren't working. 
 Is there a way to link the Gadget II with the ION and have more DMX outpurts?

Maximum Number of Gadgets Supported by Eos Family Software - Electronic Theatre Controls Inc 
 " A console (Ti, Gio, Ion, Element, Ion RPU, Eos RPU3) would support a maximum of three Gadget devices (1 internal I/O card plus 3 gadgets for a max of 4 DMX devices)." 
 This is assuming you're using software version 2.3.1 or higher.
