I have a macro that clears the contents of specific groups.
To achieve that, it opens tab 17 then clears the groups.
That works fine. What I can’t figure out is how to close tab 17 after that. Is there a way to close tab 17 specifically??
I thought running the macro in background would work, but it didn’t allow the macro to clear the groups without tab 17 in the foreground
Since you run in Foreground mode, you can just hit [Escape].
Thats the regular way to close a activ Tab.
I tried learning a macro that was just the [escape]. It didn’t close the tab when I tried playing it back.
I quickly learned one in Nomad and it works.I tryed just the Escape (closing a Tab).
Make sure the Tab is still activ and maybe write the [Escape] at the end of your exiting Macro, not in a new Macro.

Instead of opening Tab 17, you can do:
"Chan 1 Thru Full Delete Group 1 + 3 + 42 Enter"
Which will remove the contents from the groups, but not delete them without opening tab 17
That sounds like exactly what I need & it’s simpler than my existing macro too.
I’ve seen this before in someone else’s macro’s, but never understood it. What does “Chan [Thru][FULL] “ do? I cannot find it in the manual.
apparently it selects all the channels till the end of the channel count set in Setup->System->Num Of ChannelsOr better said, it will write the last channel of your allowed channels (Set in Setup) to your commandline.
e.g. [Thru] [Full] will select 15<5000
