Clearing selections

Hello.

This is really annoying me and I can't see an answer anywhere.

I'm using offline 1.7 to familiarise myself with the software coming from Strand and MA programming. What I'm trying to do is this;

I built some colour palettes with my rig of Martin MAC500s and then I select my MAC 600s and build colour matches to update into the stored colour palettes.

What I can't figure out is how do I stop the software recording the colour attributes from the MAC 500s again? On an MA I hold Clear for three seconds and it releases all channels then I can work away on my next selection, on a Strand I hit Shift-Clear for the same thing, but I can't figure out how to do this on EOS. I just keep trashing palettes I've already recorded!

I suppose this is a general question too; How do I release channels from the 'programmer' after I've finished with them? If i type an intesity value into a channel and then decide I don't want it how do I get rid of it before Record? How do I get rid of the red channels?

All help gladly received

  • I don't know if this is the "proper" way, but I release channels with the Sneak Command. So Channel x thru y Sneak Enter will release them to their previous state. If you are sitting in a Cue, this will release the channel back to the value in the Cue. if you are not in a Cue stack, it should release it to nothing (grey values). You can also selectively sneak, so Channel 1 Cyan Sneak, or Focus Sneak, etc...

    Also when recording your palettes, if  you type in the Channels x thru y record  color palette z, it should only record the channels that you selected and ignore the values in any other channels.
