ETC Eos receive internal MIDI

Hi all,

Is it possible for ETC Eos software running on a mac to recieve MIDI OSC from the same mac? Is there a way to specifiy the MIDI input device and then use internal MIDI, for example from Qlabs please?

Thanks!

  • Yes, you can.

Enable USB midi in Eos settings.
In Qlab, choose IAC Driver Bus 1 as your MIDI destination and start a timecode cue with format set as MIDI.
(If you don't see IAC Driver Bus as an option in Qlab, you might need to enable it in OS X's Audio MIDI Setup app)
Eos will see the incoming timecode if you've configured a list in the Show Control tab with type as MIDI and source as External.
