1.7 split PSD issues

My system - Console (backup), RPU (master), RVI- all newly upgraded to 1.7

When using the split PSD to display two separate cuelists (both cuelists locked) I have found 2 issues so far:

-when opening a show, the top cuelist collapses to show just one row of the cuelist.  You can drag the horizontal divider down with the mouse, but it goes back to being collapsed when the show is re-opened.

- when displaying two cuelists that are linked (so that cuelist 1 triggers the matching cues in cuelist 2), the cuelist display for cuelist 2 does not scroll to follow the progression of cues.  It just stays at the beginning of the cuelist.

I assume that this is not intentional behavior?

  • Hi Todd.  Issue 2 - yes, we just found that ourselves.  Issue 1 - I'm not seeing this.

I have a show with List 1 locked to the top of the split view, List 2 locked to the bottom of the list view.  The new files opens, and lists 1 and 2 are locked accordingly.   In this same instance, if I open a new show file with only 1 list, list 1 is loaded to the top and the bottom has no cue list.

Hmmm... can you email me your show files?  In the email, can you tell me what lists were locked to the top and bottom in the first file?

    Thanks much!

  • Anne,

It seems like issue 2 occurs after exiting the EOS application to the shell, then starting EOS again.  It seems the when the EOS application starts up, it collapses the upper cuelist.

I discovered this while I was trying out the new file manager and network drive options.  I wasn't saving the show, just exiting EOS, making changes in the shell and then restarting EOS.

I'm attaching my show file- I had list 2 on the top and list 1 on the bottom.  Since the display format seems to be a desk setting and not a show setting, I don't know how it will come up on your console, although I just tried it on EOS offline and I'm getting the same collapsing top list.

    Thanks,

    Todd

  • I just discovered that you can resize the columns in the PSD and they stay the way you left them after you exit and restart EOS- but is there any way to restore the columns to their default widths?

And if I have a split PSD and zoom in all the way with the mouse wheel, one of the cuelists disappears and does not re-appear when you zoom back out until you move the horizontal resize handle.

(obviously I have way too much time on my hands today)

  • I am probably missing somethng very simple, but I can't get thecolumns in the PSD to stay the way I resized them after exiting and restarting.  I am on ION 1.8.  Any help would be appreciated!

  • Hi Todd-

To reset the columns (both size and zooming), hold Control and double-click on the screen.
