I have recently purchased the Ion console about a week ago. My students and myself have been having a great time with your newer console. However, I have reached a problem with the Ion.
I’m not sure exactly what happened, but here is what I can tell you. I had been moving my DMX cable from DMX 1 to DMX 2 and back again. When I moved my cable back to DMX 1 no lights would turn on. Also, one of my students was trying to plug a moving light directly into DMX 1 after removing my main DMX output and messing with the Ion. Of course, I checked all of the basic reasons (ie: was it patched correctly; used 1 to 1? Was black out on? Was the main slider up?). I tried turning my console off and back on, unplugging the console, taking all the cables out and restarting the Ion. I feel like I have tried just about everything. I have even gone into the settings and reset every aspect of my console. The only thing I haven’t tried is the “Deep Clear” option, but I was afraid to do that.
I still have my old Expression III console. I plugged that in and our lights immediately came up (so I know it isn’t my dimmers/dmx). I must be missing something, but I’m not sure what it is. Help!
