How do I create new parameters?

Greetings all

I'm creating a custom media server. I've looked everywhere in the fixture creator but cannot work out how to create new parameters. The ones that are there don't really descibe what I'd like the 'fixture' to do, and some of those that do I'd like to move to different categories (focus, beam etc...).

I've also noticed that some paramaters have 'endless' behaviour, such as hue. (When the value exceeds 100% it jumps back to 0%). Is there any way to specify which paramaters have this behaviour or not?

On the 'Hue' issue - this endless behaviour is because Hue is a fundamentally endless parameter.

It's essentially the angle around the colour circle that you see if you open the Color Picker.

100% Hue is Red, 0% Hue is also Red (a slightly different one)
- Hue can actually be measured in degrees, but we thought that would be confusing so we chose percent.

We have tried to make each parameter have the relevant behaviour and units where possible.

Finally:
The fixture editor in Eos is not really intended to be used for such complex fixtures as media servers.

It's intended for use in the situation where you've been handed a fixture we've never seen before and you need to quickly get it working.

If you've got time before the show, it's much better to ask us to build you one.

So, which Media Server do you have, and is there a datasheet you can send to us/point us to?
