Eos / Ion Offline HotKeys

I can't seem to get HotKeys to work on my Laptop or Desktop. Both are running Windows XP Pro SP3. When I launch Ion Offline v1.8, I can type out the full command, but the HotKey shortcuts don't seem to work. For example, if I want to use the Effect command, I press Alt-E, but just hear an error beep and see the E. I can type the full word "Effect" and get it to work.

Is there a setting in the offline editor to enable HotKeys? Is it dependent on a particular XP service that might be disabled? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

On your computer you need to have scroll lock on to use hotkeys.

FYI ---- since this catches so many people, in 1.9, we will make it so that scroll lock does not need to be enabled to use the hotkeys. That will be the default state for an alpha keyboard. So, those of you running X-keys, be advised this change is coming.

Thank you. Scroll Lock was the culprit. I've been trying to find documentation on the need for Scroll Lock to be on. The few references to "Scroll Lock" that I found in the v1.7 manual seemed to reference expanding/collapsing the CIA with F5.

Something that I would find helpful is to add a sentence explaining this at the top of the Eos Family Hot Keys Quick Guide v1.8.
