ION running slow / LCD Display issues

HI folks,

This may have been addressed in a previous post but have searched and couldn't find anything relevant but apologies if it has.

One of my designers has been experiencing the ION running slow in 1.7 and has been told this is due to the ML control panel. Is this true and has this been rectified in the latest version?Just want to get my facts straight before I issue details to the other members of my team!

Also he found that the primary LCD display panel would not always load up when the desk was switched on. He was advised to carry out a 'deep clean' of the desk. Would this resolve the problem or are there other underlying issues?

This LCD issue is a tricky one. A Deep Clear won't do anything to fix it. Usually a full power cycle will do the trick.

We're working on resolving the issue, and there's a possibility that 1.9 may fix it. In the meantime, I'd appreciate it if you could please help us out and answer the questions in the above mentioned thread.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for that. I've got a two week run so will keep my eyes peeled and a copy of your questions to hand!

Just could do with an answer regarding the console running slow due to the ML controls! Not sure who my colleague spoke to but I'm sure it was someone from ETC. Anybody out there know the answer?!
