iRFR - in use!

Hello everyone,

I thought we might start a new discussion on using the iRFR. I have been using it since released and found that this is absolutly a wonderful device at a resonable cost. I program a show on two (2) sound stages with a universe dedicated to each stage. I have run a router on each stage (one that is closed on one stage and one that is open to public to see if folks trying to access internet can disrupt the console..nothing as of yet) and find that my range and response time is effective (about 150ft radius). I use this unit mainly for globe checks and fixes (troubleshooting is a breeze). It is also nice to break away from the console and eat, restroom breaks....or just from going crazy from isolation). To date I have found only to issues with the unit, of which are trivial I suppose.

1) If the unit is left in connection mode, even while unit is in standby the battery powers life is drained rather quickly. So, I just close the application to conserve.

2) If I do some major programming with the unit on the stage and then return to the board, the changes of course are made.....BUT if I check the UNDO list none of the changes are listed and I can not UNDO prior entries.....possible fix for the future I would hope....Anne hope you get this topic one day.

Well, I hope you all enjoy this unit....I am in the Film & TV world (sure beats the palm version of past).
