how to make the ion client manage the light output live?

i have installed the 1.8 software and the only thing i can do is the mirror mode. Is there a way to control the output via pc? I do not have the dongle, is that the problem? Can anyone tell me what exactly is a dongle and how can I get it. I have registred my ion but did not get the dongle.

    Hi Dario,

    A dongle allows the Offline Software to be used as Client Software and affect output to the stage through the

    Eos/Ion console.

    The Client Dongle is a USB Device that gets stuck into the laptop; this dongle can be purchased from your local dealer.

    ETC has a limited time offer right now, for all users that register their console on our website, they will receive a free

    dongle client for that console (one dongle per console).

    If you email me your contact data and console serial number to ccascio (-a-t-) etcconnect (-*d-o-t*-) com ,

    I can check into where your registration ended up.
