I noticed that when i recently updated the software to 1.8 that the Gobo Graphics have changes in the Elation Design Spot 250 the first pattern had lines and now has a prism graphic. Is there anyway this can be changed in the next update. Thanks

This information is populated based on what the manufacturer says they ship by default. I don't know the details of this product, but its possible that they have changed what they used to ship, and this is what is now reflected in the default wheel. If what the library references is not what is in your product, you can modify this information in patch.
As you can probably guess, we try as hard as we can to keep up with the ever changing defaults of all of the ML manufacturers. Sometimes the information is wrong or outdated when the profile is constructed. Sometimes the information is misinterpreted. We will take a look at this particular device.
Thanks!

I know I've asked this before, but this issue sames like a good place to ask again. Is it possible to give the end user the capability to correct the fixture profile so that it accurately represents the particular revision of the fixture that the user owns? Or, is there a way to only selectively update the fixture library with new/changed profiles?
What happens if I buy a fixture, then the manufacturer changes the default color wheel selections? If I buy another fixture with the new color wheel, of course I'd like an updated fixture profile. But I also want the fixture profile for the original units to be correct as well.
You can edit your own colour and/or gobo wheels to reflect what your fixture actually has. Should you have two similar fixtures with different colour wheels you can make a copy of the fixture in patch and then edit them seperately.

I'm aware that you can edit the color and gobo wheels. My comment was more to the point that ETC has given us a handicapped fixture editor supposedly "for our own protection" (my words, not theirs). I resent that fact that I can't tweak the profile to make it work how I want it to. When I change a profile on my board, it doesn't affect anybody but me and the people I work with. Why should ETC care if I modify a fixture profile? I understand the issue from a support aspect, but that is easy to deal with. I don't expect ETC to provide support on a profile that I created/modified.
You can always create and edit your own custom Colour Wheels and Gobo Wheels, to match whatever you happen to have.
- Even if you've bought a pile of dichroic from someone and fitted it yourself!
The fixture personality merely includes what the fixture manufacturer has told us is the "default" range of colours and gobos.
You can *always* swap that out for your one, containing whatever you wish using the built-in, fully featured Colour and Gobo Wheel editors.
Any fixture in your rig can have any Colour or Gobo Wheel chosen - this is really part of the patch, not the personality.
