Single Monitor RVI Issues

I'm in a multi-console (EOS), multi RVI environment. We ran out of monitors, so we put only one monitor on each of two RVI's.  The sole purpose of these RVI's is to provide cue list feed.  The difficulty I am encountering is that all the tabs go to that screen, making it impossible to keep the cue list on top.  On the two monitor setups, we just tabbed over the extra readouts to the channel screen. The issue with closing the extraneous tabs is that they just reappear when I go to them on the EOS.  I tried switching them to User 2, but the RVI's would no longer follow the cue list in time.

Is there a solution that I am missing?  Could there be a way to lock RVI display outputs, similar to the way you can lock open the CIA? Then I would never have to deal with tabbing over displays at bootup.  Or could there be a different solution for a 1 monitor RVI setup?

  • Dawn... at the moment, we don't have a single monitor display for the RVI... but this is something that is being added in our next release.

You should be able to put your RVI in a different user and not have the PSD change views - but the PSD on the RVI will keep sync with the current playback.   I just tried this and it is working fine.  Connected as a client, change the user ID in setup.   If for some reason you can't get this to work, please contact tech service.

Oh, what version of software are you running?

    Thanks much!

  • Just an additional note when viewing the PSD as a unique user, be sure that your command line is clear and doesn't contain a cue number.  If you have a different cue selected the PSD will stick to that cue.  However, with a clear command line you will follow along just fine.
