Single Monitor RVI Issues

I'm in a multi-console (EOS), multi RVI environment. We ran out of monitors, so we put only one monitor on each of two RVI's.  The sole purpose of these RVI's is to provide cue list feed.  The difficulty I am encountering is that all the tabs go to that screen, making it impossible to keep the cue list on top.  On the two monitor setups, we just tabbed over the extra readouts to the channel screen. The issue with closing the extraneous tabs is that they just reappear when I go to them on the EOS.  I tried switching them to User 2, but the RVI's would no longer follow the cue list in time.

Is there a solution that I am missing?  Could there be a way to lock RVI display outputs, similar to the way you can lock open the CIA? Then I would never have to deal with tabbing over displays at bootup.  Or could there be a different solution for a 1 monitor RVI setup?

  • I am running software version 1.8, and I think the command line was clear when I tried User 2 last time. For now I have the setup working on User 1, but when I have to shut the RVI's down for Previews I will be trying User 2 again and, if necessary, contacting customer service.  I can tell that User 2 really is the way to go; I just need to ensure the cue list tracking part. Thanks for the input!

  • Hello again,

I finally managed to get User 2 working on my system. The only change that I can discern between working and not is that I deleted my second cue list. Is it possible that, while seeming to track the first cue list, it was actually tracking the second? And if that is the case, would it track one list while the other is on the Playback display?  I'm intentionally not using a second cue list for now, hopefully to head off any second user conflicts.  Any advice is appreciated.
