ION NOT WORKING!!!

I'm trying to get the ION to work with an older NSI DDS8800 Dimmer rack. I have 4 NSI's hooked up and I get nothing. I setup dimmers, goto Live, then try to do channel checks, move faders.. nothing. I have been working on this for HOURS. NEED HELP!!!

my bad... dead cable. haha

BUT now I want to make my mac250's do effect 906.. the swirl thing. How would I go about that. Do I have to record a cue, or setup a cue. I have 4 mac's so I'd like to set these up to go nuts during the introductions of the fighters. I'm doing a UFC type event tomorrow... well later today. :(

ALSO, I have 40 channels of can lights I'd like to have flicker at random throughout this process. Yet still be able to control my spotlights manually. :S
