As anyone able to tell me how to go about copying all the show files on my Ion onto a USB stick? I want to keep the files I have but am updating the software and don't want to lose old show files.
Many thanks,
Jonathan

Please ignore this, I've now sorted it :)
For anyone still wondering how to achieve this, you could use the following methods:
Exit to the shell.
Under the Maintenance tab you will find File Manager. Here you can Move/Copy files between locations, such as your Show File Archive and your USB stick. Also a good place to do some clearing out of your Show Archive.
Alternatively, you will also find Backup Show Archive and Restore Show Archive under the same tab. These do exactly what they say on the tin.
Happy filing!
(Also, don't worry about losing showfiles when running a normal software update, anything saved to your hard drive will remain intact, the only show you will lose is the one in the current memory if you haven't saved it.)

Hi, just because I'm not in front of a console right now, is it possible to select all of the show files at once and copy them or do you have to do them one by one.
Also one other related question to updating the software, does ETC periodically release XPe updates as well that when these are installed would clear out the show files in the console?
Thanks
Eric
Eric,
You can indeed select all files at once. The standard Ctrl+click and Shift+click functions you use on your PC will allow you to select multiple items from the list.
You are correct in saying that an XPe update would wipe your hard drive, however these updates would normally be done by an ETC service technician, or at the very least, with instruction from Technical Services.
Thanks!
Eric
