Cue timings on Ion

I'm running a cue stack with the standard default fade times as 3 sec for IFCB. In the cue list, the Duration column just lists zeros. If I amend the time by doing CUE 185 TIME 3 ENTER it puts a 3 in the int up / down colums but leaves the duration column empty. And the cue still runs in 0 time. Can anyone advise why this may be the case?

Thanks

  • Is it likely that there are no move instructions stored in your cues yet?

If a cue has no instructions in it the timing values on the PSD will be greyed out with no box around them, a useful indication that nothing is moving in that cue. As there is nothing moving, the Cue will not count down to completion. As soon as you record some move instructions you should see this behaviour change.

  • Fab thank you! Yes that works, I'm offline programming and had a load of cues which I'd labelled but didn't enter any info. I gather then that if all channels track through several cues but their parameters do not change, the desk realises this and automatically snaps to the next cue as there is no need for a cross fade (as if the tracking is all working correctly there will simply be no difference between the 2 cues).

Thanks again for your quick response!
