Saving after Merge

We are operating with Eos consoles as Backup and RPU's as Masters per the ETC suggestion.  in this scenario, when you do any partial merge from any device other than the Master, the current show becomes the file from which the merge originated.  In order to save the show you are working on, and not write over the merge file, you must use Save As.  My designer complained about this to me the other day.  I told him that I've been trying to get someone's attention about it for a long time now.

I was later told by Anne that they were unable the replicate this in shop.  After I said that it only happens from a backup or client, there was no reply.  This issue is still true though it only occurs in the ETC reccomended Master/Backup arrangement.

  • I am still seeing this behavior also. I know to "save as" after a merge but most other operators don't. The result is unexpected. I heard just the other day, "why did the name of the show change? I think I screwed something up." This has happened more than a few times and I wish it were fixed.
