Is ETC going to make an iRFR version for the Android phones?
Is ETC going to make an iRFR version for the Android phones?
Your interest in this has been noted! That's about all we are prepared to say right now.

rkilpatrick's point about wireless security is valid, but I have a different mindset. During a performance, I wouldn't want any unauthorized or authorized people bringing up channels from the iRFR. The best way to guarantee that level of security is unplugging the wap.
Your message has been heard. Thank you all for your input.

Any new developments on this? I would certainly want it as well!

Jeff, it is in work now.

Anne! Thank you...any idea on how soon this may come?
Rick
Yes. And can we leave it there for right now? Will let you all know as soon as we can.
Thanks much!

THANKS!
Rick
You make me so happy! (Release-date?! ;D)
Hi Anne,
Is there any news on this? It's been 3 months since your last post on this subject...
Many thanks,
J
We are in development debug now. This is a bit more problematic than the iphone version because of the variability in Android devices.
I will advise you all when we are ready for beta.

Thanks Anne!! :)
Are you planning to support all Androids? I am considering getting one soon, and of course an iRFR on my phone would be very useful. Are there particular Androids you'd suggest over others?
Thanks,
David.
I would expect to see certain minimums... like screen resolution and android version, those seem to be common among programs. Just don't make it Gingerbread only, those of us original Droids still in FroYo would be left out! (Gingerbread = 2.3, Froyo = 2.2 for the uninitiated into Google's Dessert-naming scheme :-P )
Seriously, though, I'll bet there are statistics about what are the most common OS versions and hardware specs and the like, and I am sure that those factors are all things that have to go into ETC's consideration about the apps.
