In Patch, select the light and under attributes there is the option to invert pan or invert tilt. This should solve your problem. Note though that if you have already programmed this light into cues, or pallets, inverting now will cause anything programmed to be incorrect.

I think i tried that already, and it just did the same function as "flip" did.   Ill try it again tomorrow.  

check your settings on the fixture itself. I've had to invert pan and tilt on my VL 1ks sometimes at the fixture, depending on how they're hung.

as far as i know, the only thing on the s4r are its power switch, and the address rotaries 

You can't change any of the settings of the S4R at the fixture. You can only turn it on, and set the DMX.

The settings you want are indeed the "Invert Pan", "Invert Tilt" and "Swap Pan/Tilt" in the Patch section of Eos.

These remap pan/tilt in the output of the console for exactly this situation.

These are a Patch option, not a button in the normal encoder section as it's something you would normally only do once.
