1.8.1 lamp on trivia questions (

so I have been using lamp on via select fixtures and then 2nd page soft key for lamp on - and evidently in 1.8.X, FAN replace lamp on parameter or pushed to another screen... finally found alternative on VGA screen using  About - ... but is there still a lamp control on soft keys?

also wondering how to lamp off if only on keyboard / mouse with RPU (just in case for someday...)

last -  finally put a KVM switch on RPU main screen to share with Ion main screen (makes updates easier no third screen or extra keyboard / mouse) but realized I am RPU challenged without my ION panel as a binky.

RTFM mode I suppose - just inviting any guidance to shorten the learning curve.

  • Hi, welcome to the forum.

Lamp Controls has moved in 1.8 to make way for the Fan softkey, the way to access this is indeed through 'About' now.

I would suggest using a couple of the Macro buttons on your RPU face panel for Lamp on/Lamp off commands. Macros 901 - 908 are the defaults mapped to these buttons, but you can change the mapping in the shell if you want to.

    Hope that helps
