ION and MAC2K Gobo rotating

a newbie here and I'm having some trouble doing the obvious I'm sure. I'm trying to program continuous gobo rotation on some MAC 2K profiles, 16 bit. I've selected the gobo from wheel 1 and I can rotate the gobo using the Gobo Index/Speed encoder but it won't continuously rotate, it stops. I've tried setting it at the value and % the user manual says for continuous rotation but the gobo remains still.

What I am I'm doing wrong?

you need to set the mode for the gobo to rotate. The console works in modes depending on what type of fixture you're using. So if you have gobo wheels that are indexable and also can rotate, there's two different modes for both. Make sense?

select the mac 2k's push and hold the encoder for the gobo wheel and the softkeys should repaint with options which will include mode. hit the softkey for mode until the gobo wheel is in continuous rotate mode. Once you have done that the speed encoder will control the speed rather then the index of the gobo.
