Issue command on net3 for a Lutron interface

Hi

Using a Eos board,

Is it possible to issue a command on the network, I'd like to be able to control a Lutron installation vi a there GRX-CI-NWK-E interface.

Thank you

  • Unfortunately the Lutron datasheet gives no information as to the network protocol used to give commands to the Lutron system via that unit, and it is therefore impossible to say either way.
(TCP/IP is the protocol used by the internet, but it doesn't say anything about how you send email or your web browser downloads webpages)

Eos supports sACN, ACN, ETCNet2, ArtNet and AVAB UDP network control protocols.

If the Lutron interface supports one of the above, it is likely that it may work.
If it does not, then an alternative approach such as a Net3 I/O Gateway and a suitable Lutron contact closure or serial interface can give you control of the Lutron system from the Eos.

  • Thank you for your answer. Is it possible to issue a command string from the Net3 I/O Gateway? or just received command string.

Lutron have in interface for serial RS232
