Ion Mac Client issues

Running Ion 1.8. The school that sometimes uses our theatre wants to set-up a Mac as the designer's remote. (I have an RVI, but it is use in the bigger venue).

We muddled with the IP addressing on the Mac. The console recognises a router, the computer shows it recognizes the Ion, but the client software won't recognize the network.

I had the client dongle plugged into a USB port. Is there an issue between dongle, PC and Mac? What is the correct sequence of powering up Mac, inserting dongle, connecting to the Ethernet network (stand-alone, Ion and laptop only)?

Any thoughts would be useful.

Sorry but you can't run a Mac as a Client until the next release (1.9 not 1.8.1).

Andrew, if the Mac has a PC emulation program ... such as Bootcamp, etc, you should be able to make that work. But Nick is correct. Using Mac native as a client isn't possible until our 1.9 release.
