Exporting from Obsession to EOS

When exporting ASCII from Obsession II offline, what are the appropriate parameters?  Standard vs Comma, Percent vs Hex, Upper, lower, Mixed case? Include Obsession specific data when writing files?  We have an entire rep to translate and I'm looking to get it started right.
  • Hi there... sorry about the delay in replying.   Any of those settings will actually work fine, but we recommend the following:

    Standard (easier to read)

Hex (especially if you are importing any moving light data.... it gives you more precise data for non-intensity parameters than percent)

    Mixed case (easier to read)

Also, yes, you should check the box to include Obsession specific data when writing files.  This will include things like effects, that are not supported by the ASCII standard, but that Eos knows how to deal with.

Let us know if you have any questions or problems.   You can contact me (at 201.289.0410) or Victor Seastone in our New York office.

Thanks much.  Hope your massive project goes well.

    Anne
