When the console is in highlight, [Select Manual] is ignored when used after a channel or group range

Question

For example, "Chan 1 Thru 10 Select Manual" will highlight all of channels 1 thru 10, regardless of whether they are manual or not. Same with groups. 
 This seems counter to what Select Manual is all about.
