Splitting the lower portion of layout

Question

Hi all, 
 
 I'm using nomad and I'm trying to get a number of display "splits" with my direct selects. 
 
 Here is my current layout: 
 
 Display is dual split vertically. 
 
 In the top portion, I have my groups, then colour pallette, then focus pallette, beam pallette and finally fx. 
 
 In the second portion I have my macro direct select. 
 
 What I want to is to add another split on the second portion so I can see the macros on one side and presets on the other. 
 
 When I go into resize frames I can only resize it vertically. I 've read you can add/remove splits too. How can I get this?

before 3.1 you will have use one of the existing split layouts. you can find them at the top of the screen if you click the small screen symbol in the top left corner. 
 in 3.1 and later the resize tool can also split frames. click the small screen symbol in the top left and then click the screen symbol with the crossed arrows.
