We're using two mirror balls in our rig and the designer would love for them to move in different directions - one forward one in reverse. Just wondering if its possible to control the direction of them from an ion desk?

If the Mirror Ball is able to change direction via DMX input, it is possible.
But i surgest that it is a old plane MirrorBall Motor. With just a Powerline and nothing else?
Than the direction is switching from time to time.
And it would be try and error, while switching it on and off.

On the other hand, if you have a DMX-Motor, there is 0-49% is one direction, 50% is Stop and 51-100% is the other direction.
Most likely!
That what i often had run into.
And than you can simply use a regular dimmer-fixture on Patch.
