Yes it can, but stuff that's based on features that were added later will be lost. That could be encoder mapping, more granular snapshots, custom direct selects. And maybe other things I'm forgetting right now.
Thank you for your very quick response.
The venue's Gio is actually running v3.1.3 Build 8
I have added a load of text to the Q Labels and Notes and also put text onto the Presets to the show file over the weekend and was concerned that my newer version of Nomad (on Mac) might cause problems when loading it back into the Gio.
We'll give it a go.
By the way, do you know if there is a quick shortcut to switch between showing Preset names and Preset numbers in the live display?
Many thanks,
John
Thanks Mathilde,
I'm looking for a way to very quickly and temporarily switch between showing the Preset text and Preset numbers in the Live Channels in Use tab.
For example, I could look at the screen, see that light 57 is in Preset Bench, touch a shortcut key to briefly show the Preset number (192) and then ask the Programmer to put Group Preset 192 at 70% without the Programmer looking through lots of Presets on his Direct Selects for the Preset Bench, resulting in all the lights in the Preset Bench (ie Preset 192) being put at 70%.
Any ideas...?
It's possible to create a Macro that toggles the Show_Ref_Labels setting. If it is assigned to one of the macros that have hotkey shortcuts (801-810) then there's a keypress combo that will run the macro. 801 maps to ctrl+alt+1, for instance.
the actual shortcut is [About]+[L]
For me that is Y+L
Hi Mathilda,
That's perfect and exactly what I was looking for.
Y+L
Brilliant. Thank you very much indeed.
By the way, do you know if there is a key combination that allows me to click on a live light that will also select all the other lights in the same Preset that have intensity in that Q?
For example, click on Channel 57 on the live screen + a shortcut key that then selects all the lights in the same Preset Bench.
A variation would be to select all the lights in the same Preset bench, irrespective of whether or not they have intensity in that Q.
I have looked in the Manual, but couldn't quickly find the answer to these questions.
Many thanks,
John
Oh yes, that changed a while back, so Mathilda is absolutely right about Y+L!
Thanks Ueli.
